Fungi / jamur disebut juga cendawan.  Cirri cirri nya adalah :

F  Tubuhnya multiseluller , beberapa jenis saja yang uniseluller.

F  Jamur jenis mulltiseluler bentuknya seperti rangkaian benang yang disebut hifa, dan membentuk jalinan seperti jarring jarring yang disebut miselium. Pada hifa akan terbentuk alat reproduksi berupa sporangium yang berisi konidiospora, yaitu spora yang dihasilkan dengan jalan membentuk sekat melintang pada ujung hifa.

F  Inti selnya eukariotik dengan dinding sel kitin.

F  Tidak memiliki klorofil, sehingga hidupnya saprofit atau parasit

F  Makanannya bahan organic yang selanjutnya akan disimpan dalam bentuk glikogen.

F  Reproduksinya bisa melalui vegetative maupun generative. Secara vegetative dengan cara membelah diri, membentuk spora,  membentuk tunas  dan fragmentasi. Secara generative dengan persatuan dua buah gamet.

F  Dalam siklus hidupnya fase keturunan diploidnya lebih singkat dari pada keturunan haploidnya.
